A committee is a group of people who have been elected and appointed to make decisions on behalf of a voluntary and community group.

Any voluntary organisation needs a committee of people who will organise how the group is run and ensures that decisions are made in a democratic way, with members taking collective responsibility for the group. Course outline: This short workshop will introduce learners to the roles and responsibilities of a management committee and the individual roles of the chair, secretary and treasurer. The workshop is suitable for anyone new to their management committee role or existing committee members looking to refresh their knowledge.
